I am SIMON DANIEL, a Management Leadership and Personal Finance Guru
My father was a decorated Army junior officer as most of my other family members; none of them had a commercial or business background. All the skills that I gained came from formal education, on the job, books or colleagues. These skills that include Marketing, Business leadership and Personal Finance.
I am blessed with a wonderful family including my wife, ANNE, two sons-SANIL and JITIN and Daughter-in-laws ANUJA and LIYA with two playful grandchildren. In today’s concept of nuclear home, we reside happily in one big house.
My First Career
I started from the lower rung of the corporate world and then over the years held many senior corporate positions, which include GM, VP , Sr. VP , Director and retired as CEO. Had the opportunity to work in Multinational iconic healthcare companies as well as smaller ones. These include SUN PHARMA, DABUR PHARMA, INTAS BIO PHARMA, GLENMARK, ALEMBIC, SMITHKLINE BEECHAM and AGAPPE DIAGNOSTICS. I had many a “hands-on” experience of handling Indian and global operations. Through these I was able to create almost eight successful SBU’s in Healthcare right from conceptualisation stage. Many of these business units achieved leader status in its category. For example, SBU's in oncology and gynaecology went on to ocupy No.1 status in India. More than one dozen pharma brands ranked in position with the top 300 in India.
Apart from the above I had the good fortune of coaching and grooming nearly 12,000 people in various Companies. The most satisfying part is that over 100 of these reached national level corporate positions such as GMs, VPs or as an Directors.
My Second Career
ONLINE PRODUCTS BUSINESS
In the second phase of my career, I ventured out to be as an entrepreneur. I established two business start-ups and which are being ably looked after by my sons SANIL and JITIN. Both of them are MBA's from well known management schools and gained their Masters in Business Administration.
SLEEPBLIZZ DIAGNOSTICS
This is the first start-up that I established. It is the first Indian Company to start the concept of the home sleep study. Sleep studies are advanced diagnostic tools to detect sleep disorders. Sleep disorders create few visible complaints like “snoring” “day time sleepiness” or “sudden dozing during driving or office”. However there are more invisible, but serious consequences which include medical problems like aggravated BP, Diabetes and Cardiac problems and the less talked about issues like loss of libido or marital problems.
Sleep Blizz also markets various respiratory medical equipment through our Equipment Division.

DIRECT TO CONSUMER [DTC] OR ONLINE HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS BUSINESS
The second company has products running under our own brand names. I have developed a range of healthcare-related devices and other products all over India sold through online leaders like AMAZON and FLIPKART. In a few months, these will be marketed in USA too.

INVESTMENTS IN STOCKS AND REAL ESTATE
Apart from the above, I have made few personal investments in rental business as well as into the stock market. In the coming years, I hope to focus in real estate rental area and likely to keep within the family.

I am a practitioner of Christian Faith. In keeping with my faith, I support charity through SIMON Foundation.
This is a registered charitable trust, supported as a family that has been existence for nearly 8 years. The foundation supports destitute women and abandoned children.
We fund this charity through our family sources only.

I have stepped into a third career a writer of books and designer of educational aids

In the near future, I plan to publish books on the leadership skills and career management that I have learned and practiced. These are the practical skills that made me successful and helped me to shape the careers of thousands of people.
